The Orton AF3 stand-alone temperature controller adds digital programming and control capability to small electric kilns with many of the advanced firing options found in popular hobby/craft kiln controllers.

The AF3 can be supplied with preset programs for ceramic cone-fire, heat-treating, jewelry burn-out, PMC, or Ramp & Hold. Up to 4 Ramp & Hold programs are standard with eight-segments each for creating custom firing schedules.

The AF3 controller is packaged in an attractive bench-top enclosure (4 x 4 x 6.5”) with a 6” Type K thermocouple (2381°F or Cone10 maximum firing temp).

Installation is simple; plug in the controller, plug the kiln power cord into the controller and insert the AF3 thermocouple through the kiln wall. The controller is fitted with the necessary power cord and outlet receptacle to match the kiln requirements. The power requirements are limited to single phase, 120/240 volt, 20 amps.
