DAMAGED We take extra pride and care in preparing and packing orders for shipment. Items leave our warehouse in excellent condition. The carrier's responsibility ends with a clear delivery signature from you (the consignee). Upon delivery it is important that the following be done to ensure your satisfaction in the event of a claim:
• Visually check the condition of the packages/pallet
• If there is any obvious damage, (holes, crushed corners, split sides, noise) it is extremely important that you note the nature of the problem on the sheet that you sign for the driver.
• Count the number of pieces/cartons. It should match the piece count on the delivery receipt. If there is a shortage that should be noted.
• If there is a major concern that you feel you need clarification or assistance with while the driver is still there (extensive damage or missing items) please call us at 800-432-CLAY.
• For minor damage or exceptions note the problem on the delivery receipt and release the driver.
• Keep all original cartons and packing materials in case an inspection is required.
• Check the items against your packing slip and call us at 800-432-CLAY to report the problem. We will assist you in every way if the above guidelines are followed.
• It is very difficult to get satisfactory results from freight companies on damage that is noticed or reported long after the shipment has been delivered.
• On rare occasions clay shipments become frozen in transit during winter months. UPS does not offer protection in transit. Most of the truck lines we use do offer protection from freezing. Make proper notations and call us immediately if your shipment is frozen. 800-432-CLAY
RETURNS We stand behind the products we sell. In the event a product does not meet your expectations and you wish to return it please contact us for instructions and a return authorization number at 800-432-CLAY. You will be responsible for payment of the freight charges. In most cases an unused item can be returned for the purchase price. Careful packing of items being returned is essential. We reserve the right to charge a 20% re-stocking fee on returned items. We want you to be happy with your purchase and will do all we can to suggest an alternate product or solution. |
