Used as a suspender and binder in glaze formulas and as a plasticizer additive in clays that desire added platicity with no other alterations to a clay recipe.
This hydrous aluminum silicate contains small portions of feldspar, calcite and quartz.
It is considered as a high-quality sodium bentonite.
