The Cosmos glazes are meticulously crafted to capture the mesmerizing beauty of crystalline glazes in every brushstroke. Yes, but due to durability, these glazes are not recommended for food surfaces. These glazes can be fired in a normal medium-speed firing with no special cooling schedule required. To take this glaze to the next level, use a controlled cooling scheduled for increased crystal growth Cone 5 = 1184 °C (at 150°C/hour for the final 100°C of firing) / 2201°F ( at 270°F/hour in the final 200°F of firing) Cone 6 = 1241°C (at 150°C/hour for the final 100°C of firing) / 2266°F ( at 270°F/hour in the final 200°F of firing) Supernova is a highly fluid creamy white translucent glaze with a crystalline surface like frost on a window. The gloss glaze surface is opalescent and breaks slightly more cream than white. Solar Flare is a highly fluid light brown glaze with an iridescent crystalline surface. Opaque and glossy with a slight texture on the crystals. Dark Star is a fluid, dark matte glaze with iridescent crystals like a beetle shell. Breaks translucent. Mars Crystal is a highly fluid, dark brick red glaze with silvery, iridescent crystals. Opaque and breaks darker. Solar Rainbow is a highly fluid, dark gloss glaze with iridescent rainbow crystals.
