Cone 4-6

All glazes in this series are lead-free and most are AP non-toxic. Formulated primarily for use in electric kilns at cone 6, these glazes are compatible with our Mid-fire clay bodies.

Most are suitable for functional ware, refer to use code for specific exceptions. All are in convenient, ready-to-use liquid form. Dry glazes available by special order.  All glazes in this series carry the HL-cautions required seal which applies to the non-fired state. The reactive nature of these glazes may leave unvitrified areas which are susceptible to bacteria growth. Ideal for decorative work.

GS 1113 and GS1180 Glazes are AP Non-Toxic: Code 1. Dinnerware Safe, but considered toxic in the liquid state due to the presence of heavy metals.

All other Spectrum Reactive Glazes are CAUTION LABELS: Code 2. Dinnerware Safe, but considered toxic in the liquid state due to the presence of heavy metals.
