Mayco Wax Resist Wax Resist is a water-based coating that prevents color from adhering when a glaze is applied to bisque or greenware. Wax Resist acts to repel glaze from the surface to which it is applied. As the kiln is fired, the wax dissipates, leaving the surface beneath as it was prior to firing.
